We just got the confirmation from the Police Department that we can lift our Hold. We will resume normal Parent/Teacher Conferences now. The doors are now unlocked and we are ready to talk to our parents. Thank you for your patience!
With the active shooter situation that is happening on Marsh Road, all of our schools are on an active Hold. That means that our doors will be locked and people will not be able to come in and out of our buildings until we hear more about what is happening. Please do not come to the schools right now. We will notify everyone more when we know more. Thanks you for your patience.

So much fun yesterday watching the middle school science class drop their eggs from a plane. 🥚 We are anxious to hear how many survived the fall with the protective boxes they built! 📦 So cool, Mr. Hopfauf (teacher) and Mr. Craig Stebbins (pilot)! ✈️
🎉🏫 A Hearty Thank You from Glendive School District! 🏫🎉
We're feeling the warm embrace of our community after an amazing first day back with our dedicated teachers on August 14th, 2023! 🍎📚
A huge shoutout and heartfelt gratitude to the incredible contributors who made our day extra special with their generosity:

Your delicious lunch spread of hamburgers, brats, salads, desserts, and refreshing drinks filled us with energy and smiles. 🍔🌭🥗🍰
A special mention to Tropical Sno for going the extra mile – your trailer and those delightful Sno cones brought smiles to our football and volleyball teams after practice! 🏈🏐
Our community's unwavering support and kindness remind us why Glendive is truly exceptional. Thank you for making our return to school a memorable and heartwarming experience. 🙌❤️

As you get into the full swing of summer, we wanted to let everyone know that class lists for the fall will be posted August 4. Enjoy your time with your sweet kiddos! We miss our dino-mites already!
On the last day of school, May 25th, we will be doing our annual second grade send-off!
We will make a tunnel outside the front doors of the school for our second graders to walk through for their last time leaving as Jefferson students. We want to celebrate them and their time with us! If you would like to partake, please join us at 3:00. Make sure to leave room for our kinder and first grade classes to line up on the walkway in front of the doors.
Thank you for helping us celebrate our amazing second graders as they move on to their next adventure! We are so proud of them!
We had local veterans come to Jefferson to teach our Dino-mites about the meaning of Memorial Day. They led our school in saying the Pledge of Allegiance, made even more special with their grandchildren who are students. Thank you for spending your time with our students!
Our second graders got to visit Lincoln Elementary to take a tour. Then they walked to the park to have some fun together. They are going to be greatly missed next year but they are going to do great things!
Mrs. Kinney's class did a blooming flower activity together. They had a great afternoon of learning!
Thank you to the Rotary Club for the educator appreciation dinner! A great time was had by the staff that attended.
Thank you to the Glendive Zonta Club for the wonderful Teacher Appreciation Day treats!
Don't forget to turn in your Ballots tomorrow (Tuesday, May 2nd) by 8:00 pm.
Thanks!

Jefferson is participating in GROW's Battle of the Cans again this year in celebration of Earth Day! If you have cans, drop them off at GROW in a bag marked with the school you want the credit to go to and we will get the proceeds! Thanks for your help with this!
Miss Geiger's class took advantage of the warm weather earlier this week by reading outside!
Mrs. Corder's kindergarten class settled in and got comfy to read their book and talk about their new vocabulary words.
Miss Geiger's class had so much fun with their science centers. Learning is so much fun!
Celebrating how dinomite our students are is the very best! We are so proud of the hard work these kids have been putting in! #bedinomite
Look at these hard working second graders building words #bedinomite
Miss Geiger's class used "cootie catchers" to help them learn about adverbs and write sentences #bedinomite
