Daily Newspaper December 9, 2024 Christmas. A Warm Welcome, Dear Friends, As the holiday season approaches, I warmly welcome you to the annual Christmas newsletter filled with joy, love, and the spirit of giving. I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. Jefferson is celebrating all of the successes and looking forward to what the new year will bring. Reflections of the year. This year has brought its share of challenges and triumphs, teaching us the value of resilience and gratitude. We've experienced a catastrophic failure of our heating system which threatened to close the school. With the combined ingenuity and hard work of Rhett Coon, plumbers, electricians, and Mr. Keith Russell, we were able to continue without a hiccup. The amount of work that went into this is impressive. School Updates: The Lark Lane construction project is still intermittently causing traffic to detour through the Jefferson School parent parking lot. Please be aware of potential road closure and delays as the construction continues. Just a reminder, the half-circle drive in front of the school is for buses and employees only between 7:45 and 8:15 in the morning and between 2:45 and 3:30 in the afternoon. This restriction is in place to ensure student safety as our students are coming to or leaving from the building. Holiday Traditions: We look forward to renewing holiday traditions. The second grade will be celebrating Polar Express Day! The first grade students celebrate Grinch week. Festive Activities: First and Second Grade Christmas programs went exceptionally well. Mrs. Linder’s heart and care for students were on full display. Caroling: Mrs. Linder will be sharing the joy of Christmas with the community by caroling with the first and second grade students around the community. Kindergarten program: Kindergarten parents, please join us December 12th starting at 1:30 for our Kindergarten program at the Jefferson School gym. A Season of Giving: This year, Jefferson and Lincoln will be competing in a food drive to support our local food bank. Consider contributing to support those in need. This time of year highlights supporting others, but the need doesn’t expire at the close of the holiday season. Wishing you joy: As I close this newsletter, I send out warmest wishes to you and your family. May your holiday season be filled with love, laughter, and countless blessings. We look forward to another year of cherished moments and unforgettable experiences. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Caleb Swanson
Good morning Jefferson parents and guardians,
The weather is getting colder and your children need to be properly clothed to enjoy their recess time in comfort. Children need jackets, gloves, hats, snow pants, and snow boots if they want to enjoy everything that this Montana weather has to offer. Please ensure your children are properly equipped for the elements. If students are not wearing appropriate clothing for the elements, we will be reaching out to you to bring in additional items so that they can experience recess safely in comfort. Thank you for your cooperation.
Just a reminder parents and guardians,
Jefferson School’s circle drive in front of the school is closed to unauthorized vehicles from 7:45-8:15 in the morning and from 2:45-3:30 in the afternoon. This closure is in place to promote student safety. The drive lane is also one way only. The North end is the entrance and the South end is the exit. During restricted time frames, please utilize the parent parking lot for drop off, pick up, or all other school business. Thank you for your cooperation.
